Re: Adventure/Dual Purpose Tyres

How about get a survey on the basics: mileage, wet dry grip, feel etc from readers, forum members and then performing a magazine type test with a bias to evaluating if the survey seems realistic? That is exactly what I was looking for - just a basic comparison test so that the numpties like me who ...

Re: ABR Nature Rally 2011 - Introduction

Trust me to live in the place that is probably the furthest from all of the National Parks: Suffolk! :( I'd of said that was a reason to smile! :) More distance = more miles to play on Good point, but I only have 17 leave each year and I'm planning 2 weeks in France and 2 weeks in Portugal this yea...

Re: Adventure/Dual Purpose Tyres

As Scouse says it's tricky, a magazine would have to test a particular tyre on different marques and models to gain a fair assessment on how it performs; as different bikes have many varying handling traits and performance differences. The other factor would be that to gain a comparison the magazin...

I saw a similar thing on YouTube a month or so ago:

It may be a bit long but it is definitely worth watching to the end.

Re: ROSSI IS A SPENT FORCE!

Not 'alf. Was at Silverstone last year at the Moto GP and it was crap without Vale.. Trouble is Silverstone is crap full stop. Too flat to see anything other than the corner you're sat at and then the insult of a minimum of £20 to sit in a grand stand after paying £60 to get in! I went there to wat...

Re: Who services their own bikes?

Like you, until about 7 or 8 years ago I only rode pre-1990 bikes and therefore I would service my own - oil, plugs, filters, brake pads and shoes, etc. Simple jobs that would take an afternoon of light tinkering in the garage. Then I bought a modern bike (T595 Daytona) with a fully stamped-up servi...

Adventure/Dual Purpose Tyres

Hi Alun, I was wondering if there was any thought in the future about having a group tyre test in the magazine? I have noticed a number of posts on the forum asking about certain tyres and, being new to this style of bike myself, I would also like to know which companies manufacture what. Things to ...
