Re: recommend me a compact socket set for underseat storage ?

My F800 takes a mixture of stuff. You can buy a specialist kit for about £130. I put a kit together from their list with Halford Professional ratchet, cheap sockets (2 torx and 3 hex sockets on one rail), torx Allen keys, a couple of spanners, mini mole grips, side cutters etc. it goes in a neoprene...

Re: Crete or Peloponnese?

Crete is as fantastic as it is diverse. IIRC it's the biggest of the Greek Islands, I've had two holidays there, in the central part and the East. There's loads of history there, from Ancient Greek sites, to Venetian forts to WW2 sites.

Re: Goa to Grimsby.....

Perhaps in the opening programme of Goa to Grimsby series Guy can meet up with some of the unsung heroes in the RTW fraternity so they get some coverage, a bit like Chris Scott did in Long Way Round and Austin Vince didn't. If they include Ed March in that coverage it might make up for the productio...

Re: Installing Centech fuse Box

I installed mine with 2mm2 wire and a 25A fuse. I'm no auto electrician and I can't remember where I got this info from but it's worked for me for over 2 years.

Re: Bmw 800 gs adventure colour swap wanted

Why not get it wrapped. Some people get funny about a bike changing its colour and think it's crash related not cosmetic, a wrap is a permanent but temporary fix that will protect the original panels. And you'll get something unique to you, how about desert sand dpm?

Re: Bright helmets anyone.

I've gone from Shoei XR1000 to AGV Longway flip front, and now Caberg Duke flip front with visor. These are 3, 4 and 5 star sharp ratings respectively so price is no indicator of safety, but I tend to choose on functionality and price rather than a safety rating. Consider also there's a good reason ...

Re: LED lights

jonperry64, those lights you've looked at are also available with a 'flood' or diffused beam - I have a set on both my bikes. Put this into search on ebay; 10W Cree LED Work Light Flood light Driving Fog Light Car Motorcycle Boat ATV Very bright, good for being seen, no use for lighting up the road...
