Thanks for the reply. The story of my K is well known on here by now. I bought a very nice K100LT last year and rode it fine for 5 weeks every day. To cut a very long story short the wires from the ignition barrell shorted and caught fire. They burnt all the way down through to the main electic box...

Tramps said just what I was going to Check for free mobement on the caliper sliders - if they are full of crud the pads will be resting against the disc causing the heating and warping Thats what i thought but they were cleaned a few weeks ago when i last had the wheels off and the discs both show ...

Cornwall is lovely. Had a lovely camping trip there at Marazion for the eclipse in [strike]2009[/strike] [typo, 1999]. Kids loved it. I would recommend it, lots of nice places, nice roads and interesting history. Its a place I want to go back to but driving miles to south west France are less so it ...

Well thought out and as you say it saves a lot of hassle over that way. But you should be able to get it from whoever you are insured with at the moment. Good luck with the trip too, looks a nice one.
