Re: Fun and Games with a DR-Z400

The clamp had, not surprisingly, got mangled by the flywheel but the broken bits were found fortunately. k DSC00565.jpg New and old! With the stator replaced, lots more rides followed, and a couple of thousand miles without fuss until.... another oil leak! This time at the front sprocket shaft, a kn...

Re: Fun and Games with a DR-Z400

Ok it is tomorrow now and still nothing ! Hurry up :D :D :) :) So to continue - One morning some way from home, I had stopped for a break only to discover .... a flat battery! Well that's awkward. :? But fortunately I like to stop on a hill when I can for a bit of a view, so only had to rol...

Re: Fun and Games with a DR-Z400

Right, let's try again! Up the road and it's running sweet - give it some beans, and hmm, it doesn't seem quite as responsive as I would expect? Back home and strip the carb - my suspicions are confirmed to find the pumper jet diaphragm is split, not that surprising as the bike is 14 years old after...

Fun and Games with a DR-Z400

. Back in 2016 I started a new job, and it was a good excuse to upgrade from the DR350. Without really trying I spot a clean-looking DRZ-E up for sale locally, popped over to check it out, and ended up buying it! It looked tidy, ran smoothly, and appeared to have been looked after with clean oil, an...

Re: Wednesday

A big point of the lockdown was to prevent people ending up in hospital due to non-Corona related things, such as motorcycling, work, even driving. If you stay at home, stay local, the chances of you injuring yourself is small - a hospital is the last place you want to be cos you will probably catch...

have just ordered a Cyc XP1 motor setup for it, will probably take a few weeks to arrive but supposed to be quite pokey...should be fun :D
OK tell us more - are you referring to the 3000W motor?? If so how does a normal bike cope with that much, and surely battery life will be very short?

Re: Work Case #17 Husky TE450

Steve I’ve found a few great mountain bike routes to that spot Oh yes, so have I - been heading that way nearly every day! :) Back to the question about whether we got to the bottom of the 450's problem, in a word no! But we could not reproduce the issue either so bit of a mystery that one....
