Re: Who can remember their first big trip?

92' to France on an XBR 500 with a £9.99 Argos tent (leaky Wendy house :) )
Didn't have clue what we were doing, and it pissed down most of the week but still the most memorable trip ever

Re: quick advice needed pls re viewing Cheap DR350 !

Mine was the e (for enduro I once heard  ) which might explain why it was a decent enough starter? And might be a bit biased against the DRZ due to it treating me to an air ambulance ride because of a throttle cable problem, that Suzuki redesigned the following year with a routing tube thing fo...

Re: quick advice needed pls re viewing Cheap DR350 !

Don't really know, but most of the the engine oil escaped from between the cases one very muddy day, and didn't notice until too late seizing the thing up And blame the difficult starting on Suzuki working out very precisely how long to make a kick start lever and how many teeth on the internal gear...

Re: quick advice needed pls re viewing Cheap DR350 !

Can't really judge the bike you're looking at, as would need to see it (and it's owner) in the flesh first But had a 98' kick start only DR 350 from new, and it started 2 kick every time from cold and only took about 5 when it had been upside down! But still consider it the best all round an...

Re: New TRF website

An interesting post from Marriane about some byways in mid Wales being TRO'd has disappeared today.... which byways ?? .. central or west? wales? I believe it was Ceredigion county council so it'll be Aberystwyth way.. I could well be 'Water-breaks-it's-Neck in Powys as I see in the local paper tha...

Re: Happy Christmas!

Bit of both here :D Did enough to keep a wife that has sanctioned, and has even contributed to every thing from a new bike to a trip to Morocco this year sweet, so more than happy to go along with a bit of the annual farce in exchange So a posh brekkie, walk in the (sadly dog shit riddled) local woo...

Re: Bikes you just wouldn't ride?

I saw a Gold Wing once with a custom paint job involving wolves and red Indians, covered in sparkly lights with a couple sat on it in matching gear (including CHIPS sunglasses!) than made me realise there was a limit for me - and I've ridden some crap over the years! :D :D

Re: So who has bits of metal screwed in them?

Had my femur pinned, then had the pin removed (never got told why) a year later, whilst it can feel a bit weird from time to time it's never been a problem and it did a get me up and about quicker that without (thumbs) Also had my shoulder pinned due to crushing the rotor cuff and the end of the bon...
