Re: Asked not to put a bike in a car space at work

Sounds like the MD is a bit off with his thinking...after all, if you parked your car in the same space as where you parked your bike then he wouldn't have a problem...it's not like a random person has parked in one of his spots...however, "he who pays the piper calls the tune"... :(

Re: helmet removal at filling staions

Maybe the attendant had been watching too many episodes of "The Sweeney" . A 1970's villain's favourite item of clothing when doing a 'job' was the motorbike helmet  .

Route advice please - Picos/North West Spain

Can anyone recommend a route in The Picos/North West Spain covering about 5 days and ending up in Bilbao? We'd also like to stay in one place for 2 of those nights and do 2 day trips to break up the route a bit. We're going in June and we'll be entering the region from the Jaca/Pamplona direction. T...

Re: EU. In or out?

Single-seat road-legal enduro bikes were made exempt from the ABS rules...and quite a few others as well. No doubt the views I made known were taken into consideration...along with those of others. With the UK outside the EU...my views would not even have registered. But you can bet the legislation...

Re: Route Advice please - Calais to Carcassonne (ish)

Excellent suggestion. Thanks 8-) . The more I think about it, the more I think we need to head down the middle of France on a scenic route rather than down the east side. The main focus of our trip is north west Spain so it seems to make sense that we hit the Pyrenees maybe a bit further west than C...

Route Advice please - Calais to Carcassonne (ish)

We may have to rethink our route to Carcassonne via the Eastern side of France (as per my other post) due to the mileage, as it’s coming out close to 1300 miles and this trip we want to do less miles per day but we’ve only got 4 days riding to get through France from Calais. So, as an alternative is...

Re: EU. In or out?

So much division and derision being talked about these days and so much of it being blamed on Brexit: the fact that it has put friend against friend and ripped families apart. Only if you let it. A friend and I are planning a 6 month long trip, heading east towards Magadan or however far we get. Ju...

Re: EU. In or out?

Rob....dare I say 'proportional representation' might be the answer? However whilst theoretically it would represent the public's views properly, it seems in practice it leads to a weak government... :? :?

Re: Getting my bike down to Folkestone from Scotland

It's worth a trip there, if your passing. I was there in 2015. The first bike in the line is my old Fazer 1000 8-) . I'd like to be able to tell you that I wheelied all the way down the straight through the gears...but I can't  . http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/Scott_rider_photos/IMG_01...
