Re: Re: Choice

Thx people you have help a lot, she will think for a bit but I surely post what ever she decides. Thx a lot :) :) My other 1/2 has a newer shape 600 Hornet, it's an utterly fantastic bike & very competant allrounder with better wind protection/lower wind noise than many faired bikes! Re: suspension-which make do you use?

Front & rear feel a bit "springy"???

How does the bike feel to ride, does it handle well or buck & bounce everywhere?

As you know, Alps don't have the most taught suspension - are you sure the guy's are not comparing it to more sporty bikes!

Re: Rustproofing

Acf50 works well but hodeously expensive.....
I use waxoil mixed with wd40 to thin it a bit. Looks a mess, works a treat :)

Re: Northern Italy

I love the Dolomites - anywhere around Val de Fassa, Cortina, Canzei & Campitello would make a great base to tour from. I have camped at Campitello de Fassa a couple of times, quieter & a bit less touristy than Canzei & Cortina although Cortina may have the best nightlife if that's what you want. So...

Re: Galloway Forest w/end May 2012

D&G is a great place, overshadowed by the Lakes & Highlands :)
Infact the whole N England/S Scotland is worthy of a visit

Re: ABR Wales Rally - Bookings now open - see events section...

Hi, there is a small chance that I could make this for Friday night only, heading home on Saturday morning (- lots to do.....)
Do I need to book, if so where do I register or could I just turn up & hope to get a pitch?

Cheers, Phil

Re: Snow Trails Yorkshire

Hi all, had a great ride out on the **"easy trails, nothing serious, suitable for novices..." it was a bit chilly in places but we soon warmed up though! I was frozen riding 100 miles home with wet feet from paddling through semi frozen bog lol, stopped at Squires for a brew & warm up before heading...
