Re: DRZ
Had my S since new and was thinking of selling it as I don't seem to use it much at the mo but think I will hold on to it for a while. They don't take up too much space.

Re: Daytona boot refurbishing
I have(had) a pair of RoadsStars, very comfy boot and waterproof but did not protect my ankle in a 25mph spill so they've been put into service as a waterproof dog walking boot. I will never wear them again on the bike. Now have a pair of their Evo Sport boots with the separate stiff inner giving mu...

TBH I'm thinking that I could go to Mongolia and back twice for the same dosh - I really don't know ... Simon But would you have over 4000 miles of trails. Re: Trans-Am 500 - the seven year itch
You should have brought your DR650 back Bart1! I just checked....if you don't fancy the TAT, you can do a two week Morocco tour with BMW Motorad Tours. If you use your own bike it'll cost just shy of £4000! That's using your own bike, but includes shipping......well you wouldn't want to ride your 2...

Re: Trans-Am 500 - the seven year itch
Your in the ball park cost wise Steve, my trip in 07 cost around £4k for everything including all bike expenses ie buying and selling, ins etc and with only a half dozen or so nights camping for two months. I used cheap hotels and sometimes raided the local supermarkets for an evening meal and ate o...

Re: New textile pants
The Dainese travel guard knee / shin armour is long ang meets my boot. But would depend on height of your boots Thanks for that. After a ankle breakage earlier this year I'm reviewing all my riding gear, I've some Dainese leathers and they have excellent lower leg protection (wasn't wearing these a...
