Re: Screen Spoiler Deflector.

I have the very same model of "spoiler" on my V-Strom ... fortunately not in my line of sight ... and it's very effective at reducing (unfortunately not wholly eliminating) the famed V-Strom "buffeting".

(and taking tubeless tyres, which behave much better in the event of a puncture, deflating slowly, not catastrophically fast). Fuel injection's OK (at least until it ...

Re: Bit of summer fun!!!!

When I had a scooter (Lambretta Li150*) i wore school uniform and (usually) a crash helmet ..... but that was almost 50 years ago!

* known as "The Heap" because it was ...... it was accepted by the "bike" boys as it was scruffy and oily, just like their Bantams, Tiger Cubs, A10s etc.

Re: New project

Nice to see a bit of the GWR back in steam...... got to be worth a day out (particularly as we oldies get a discount ;) ).

That looks like a fun project, too..... the C15 and its derivatives take me back to schooldays!

Re: Halfords

My 1/2" socket set was bought from a friend about 40 years ago, and he'd got it from a catalogue (Littlewoods?) - only a cheapie (Toolstar) ...... but it's still going strong despite my best efforts (it's AF/Metric/Whitworth) including undoing Land Rover suspension parts. My 3/8" torque wrench is a ...
