Re: North Notts temporary lane closure - Rob Lane, Farnsfield

Hi all I've just had an update from the Notts CC ROW officer for the area :- The notices are out of date and refer to a closure at the back end of last winter. Re-grading work is due by local landowners who also use the lane, this is due to take place in July '18. The council are considering a winte...

North Notts temporary lane closure - Rob Lane, Farnsfield

I went round this way on a long detour home after work to find the lane has a temporary closure notice on, shame because it's a lovely little ride. The lane is close to Farnsfield and Edingley but has a proper remote wilderness feel. Rob Lane.jpg I've contacted the Rights of Way team at Notts County...

It can be done and there have been days when I'd wished I'd got one with me but I think my mates would refuse to ride with me.

To be honest most of the green lanes I've ridden are about in the condition of the one in your photos, get out there and enjoy it.

national service according to the website, I've not used them so can't recommend them but I see their vans around, might be worth a call if you're not sorted already

Re: Diagnostic quiz - indicators

The waterpump was attended to last year as part of some work so I hope that it's just that the header tank wadn't cleaned out at the same time but I'll keep on eye on it. The oil isn't emulsified

Thanks for the heads up chaps

Re: Diagnostic quiz - indicators

Mr Holt - have 10 points for your diagnosis you were spot on - loose connector behind fairing.
While I'd got the fairing off I cleaned out the engine water tank as it was gunked with grey goo in the bottom, another little job done ,now for some more miles.

Diagnostic quiz - indicators

Yesterday on the ride to work the left side (clutch) indicators stopped working - the lights on that side still flash when the alarm engages or disengages so I don't think it's wiring, bulbs or bad earths but they also don't work when the hazard lights (separate switch - ST1300) are switched on so I...
