Re: How much power.. Do you really need???????????

Used to have a TA650, first decent bike after passing my test and in fairness was a great bike for what I bought it for a the time. Had reasonable poke unless 2 up and then a bit sluggish. Then got the KTM 950 and started doing more off road, lots more, but with decent rubber its still pretty damn q...

Re: Riding standing up tips?

I personally am on the pegs pretty much all of the time. The weight of the bike v the weight of me means I need the extra leverage so that I'm in control and not it. I sit down only for very tight turns (low speed) and anytime I've lost momentum and am struggling to get it going again. Ruts and rock...

Re: Removing Wheels In Remote Areas

Two options really

Keep riding until you find a suitable rock/log to ram under the sump. Front or back depending which wheel.

Throw bike on its side and do it.

Bit of a pain if you need the side stand to break the bead on the rear like me. I'd struggle with that without the centre stand.

Would join you but I'm tied up this weekend. I'm based just south of Middlesbrough. We are the rest of you? I need some fellow dirt riders to play with up here.

Re: Big Bike Rally Challenge

Madcow, glad you're enjoying it too. Gonna do the lot next year, I think it really helps bring on the riding. I'm also please I inspired at least one person to come and have a crack, I think its a pretty good format for those wanting to improve themselves and see what their "big" bikes are actually ...
