Re: My tdm running bad.
Was thinking that it could be an air around the caburator area (rubbers getting hard), maybe trying spraying with some soapy water or similar, you might be lucky.

Re: Rider or Multibike Policies?
I have a multi bike policy with Bennets for the CBF1000, XT1200Z and XT660Z.
From memory it costs about £300/year.

Re: My tdm running bad.
Those TDM's were built to last forever. Well its either carburation or ignition. Maybe need to put the jets through the ultrasonic cleaner if you believe that the Carbs are properly balanced. Not sure what the electronic ignition is like in terms of reliability on those models. If all else fails, yo...

Re: Garmin Rugged powered mount with 12v cigar plug
Just remember that the Garmin runs off 5 volts.
The 12 volt cigar plug has 12 volt to 5 volt converter in it which is usually a cheap transistor with a zener and a few resistors.
You do not want to permanently connect the cigar plug to the battery as you will reduce the life of the converter.

Re: Travel this year
Its during these terrible times that you begin to see who is competent and who is not. I think when this is finally over the whole landscape will have changed. One of my friends just made it back before everything closed down, he did not know what was happening, one of the problems, if you do not sp...

Re: Travel this year
Looks like all the motorcycle shops have closed down now and presumable also the car garages. Its all very well not having to get an MOT, but there is an associated technical risk with this move and not having an MOT does invalidate your insurance. If your transport fails or you are in a crash, what...

Re: Travel this year
Spoke to the garage today, MOTs still required, garage was open, so went up for the MOT and the S10 passed. Getting a lot of agravation at this end about going out on the bike, you are allowed to go out for excercise, probably burn about 200 calerories an hour on the bike. Remember the plastic glove...

Looks like Boris has locked us all down, was supposed to get an MOT on the S10 tomorrow.
Will speak to the garage but looks like I will have to call it off.
