Re: XT1200Z, not idling properly

Changed the plugs, just look at the state that they are in after about 11,000 miles, service manual says inspect at 6,000 miles and replace at 12,000 miles, who is going to inspect them at 6,000 miles considering the amount of work to get access. The coil towers were very tight in the cylinder head,...

XT1200Z, not idling properly

Was out on the Super ten today and got stuck behind some cars and push bikes for a few miles, afterwords the bike would not idle, sounds like the spark plugs, there is about 10,000 miles on them, pretty unusual?

Re: Anyone made their own screen or work with perspex/acrylic?

In the 1970's when I needed a bike to get back on the road, a mate gave me his old BSA Bantam in bits as he was moving down south.
Rebuilt it, but needed a screen so I bought a sheet of perspex and used a fan heater to shape it over my knee, worked perfectly.

Re: Merc driver needs his license taking away

You have got to watch these sort of guys and the fast and furious crowd, if they get injured or worst killed in this sort of incident and there is any suggestion/suspicion that you were racing them you are likely to get banned from driving for ten years.

Re: Should police be allowed to chase motorcycles ?

They seem to have plenty time to man speed cameras/guns in Scotland.
Often at places to catch people if they are not doing the speed limit on the entry/exit speed limit restriction signs.

Re: Should police be allowed to chase motorcycles ?

Police chases are just racing on the road, obviously not on, supported by many other countries, end of the story.

You can get cheap replacement keys on Ebay but they do not always program.
