Its quiet, a glance at the future?

In the near future, when motorcycles are no longer manufactured, as they are considered too dangerous. People drive about in their boring plastic electric cars, controlled by GPS with imbedded mobile phone technology advising the smallest transgression to the nearest network tower, so that the appro...

Re: Does Steve hold a world record?

He already had the Gold Wing and who needs a van if you have a Gold Wing.
The Falkirk guy had the Gold Wing for 10 months and the farest he had travelled was Edinburgh, of course not having a licence would have been a problem.

Does Steve hold a world record?

I think that my mate Steve must hold a world record.
In the 1970s he bought a GL1000 Gold Wing from a guy in Falkirk, Scotland and used it to move house with his wife from Livingston, Scotland to Milton Keys.
They lived out of the bike for two months until he got the accomodation sorted.

Highway code proposals

I allways seem to be complaining about many things but you must look at the proposals for changes to the highway code. I think that we already know that the roads in this country fall far below what you would expect in a modern country. I suppose that we should define a road: A road is a constructio...

Re: Super Tenere not taking a charge

Sounds that the optimate is not actually connecting to the battery, fuse gone or a broken wire?
You could try connecting the optimate direct to the battery to confirm the above.

Re: Its quiet, lets stir those little grey cells

To continue. I live out in the country. Some time ago I was standing looking over a flat section of ground, when suddenly I sensed that there was something there, but there was nothing visible. At the same time an urgent thought came into my head that I should get out of there, so I retreated to the...

Re: Its quiet, lets stir those little grey cells

To continue the stirring. I think that we would all agree that modifing something is much easier than building it from scratch to fufil some purpose. You probably already know that only 14% of our DNA is active. This has raised the suggestion that we have been modified from something else. So we do ...

Its quiet, lets stir those little grey cells

As I mentioned before, I was once coming back down the road from Tyndrum, sitting at 60 MPH on the speedo, when a dog suddenly rushed out from the trees (no fences on this road) and I narrowly missed crashing into it. We ride bikes that do not tell us the real speed that we are doing and also with L...

A new problem has appeared.

Out on the bike today, up at Tyndrum and Glen Ogle, a bit on the wild side. Coming back down the road all was well untill the section from Lochearnhead to Callander. Because the road is narrower at this point, any cyclists slow the traffic down to 10 MPH as the cars and mobile homes cannot get past,...
