Re: EU. In or out?

The older generation have as much right to an opinion as the yoof and at least can base a lot of it on life experience rather than reading the internet, where, of course, everything is true. Oddly, we aren't a bunch of thickos. We old un's seem to be racist, intolerant and trying to destroy the live...

Re: EU. In or out?

I am a 62 year old Brexiteer and proud of it. Way back when, I signed up to the EEC where we could wander around Europe freely and buy and sell things. A great improvement over the days of limited cash (try getting the French to accept Travellers Cheques!!), only allowed 6 bottles of wine and half a...

Two fingers.
I need the other two to hang on for dear life. :)
Don't need to use more than two anyway.

Re: Some great pictures of the Himalayas

funny they all have street tyres... No concession to conditions. We only really had loose gravel or broken up road surfaces and in the side run off (escaping being hit by buses and trucks area) rather than the snow and mud in the OP so it was 'entertaining'. The OP trip looks a bit much for me now.

Re: Some great pictures of the Himalayas

Great photos but makes me glad I did the comfort version of the Himalayan Foothills with Blazing Trails back in 2013.

I'm 30 years beyond that sort of trip I'm afraid and the last camping I did was in about 1980.

Re: A photo you took, today

Finally got my 690 onto the lanes this morning after a couple of fun road rides. A lovely crisp quick bimble in sunny East Sussex.
Home with a huge grin, fantastic all round bike (for what I want).

Re: Hydraulic work bench

These guys sell a lot of their ramps via Amazon, eBay etc http://www.kmsdirect.co.uk/tools-equipment/liftingtools I've got the KMS one. It's Chinese but works just fine and was £264 a couple of years ago. The wheel clamp isn't great but alternatives are cheap enough. I'd happily recommend one but g...

Re: TRF becomming Extinct?

I presume that refers to the reserves for legal fees on TRO fights, which is reasonable. Or the directors lunch fund ;) Although Crowd Funding worked well recently, IMHO it's not something that can be rolled out time after time as I reckon everyone will get cheesed off with being sponged for extra m...

Re: KTM 690R. Offer

I had a quick second ride on my new to me 2014 690 this morning and remarked to my wife when I got back how precise the throttle is so thanks for the confirmation. :) Not had a chance to trail ride it yet and I think it's on the 'normal' setting. It zips along brilliantly and shows I was overbiked f...
