Re: Anyone got a Klim Krios helmet?

I find my Hornet noisy.....is the Uvex OK in that respect? :) Uvex was much quieter than the Hornet I had a the same time - peak was better too in that it was bigger (hence better sun shield) yet still had less drag than the Shoei. The new Hornet Adv is better in that respect but the ventilation is...

Anyone got a Klim Krios helmet?

As in the title. Anyone got a Klim Krios lid? They seem a good style and very light. Will be used for road and trail riding and not ripping my head off at 70mph. I wear safety glasses (soon to have long distance inserts :( )and flip the visor up for the lanes. Can't stand wearing goggles. Pinlock pr...

Re: Photobucket...all images on Free Accounts will not now link on forums

My PB images are all just copies from my own collection so not fussed if they get blocked or lost. I have always found Tapatalk to be utterly useless but I do tend to use my ipad rather than iphone so maybe that's the reason. TRF and KTM forums will be a pain to use then so it looks like flikr (I t...

Re: Boots for motocamping?

My W2 Adventure boots have been superb.
All day comfy and wore them for two weeks riding in India without any negative thoughts.
A couple of times a drip of water has got through when going through a long watersplash but otherwise totally waterproof.

Or 'Eats shoots and leaves' by LynnTruss. Not sure if I have actually got the spelling or punctuation right for the title but it is a brilliant book showing why it is so important. The standard of written and spoken English is dreadful these days. If It's so important and if written and spoken Engl...

Re: Good Grief......

Without wanting to be too prissy, shouldn't it be ...... proof reader.... ;) But I do have to agree. It's an editorial piece presumably written with the luxury of a full size keyboard and no predictive text, not trying to post on a topic on a phone and without reading glasses. Any mistakes I...

Re: One year on was it worth it?

I am getting (or have already got) rather peed off being told I'm a moron with no brain and gullible to PR garbage. I based my strong leave vote on years of being part of an increasingly corrupt and inefficient EU, not because some prat mentioned ad nausiem a bogus savings figure......no worse than ...

Re: Green Lanes and Groups

Out of season we might run to 8 to keep everyone together but 6 is the max IMHO I don't agree with the TRF idea of large groups on anything other than an LDT type day where it is all notified in advance. No doubt we all moan about large groups of cyclists on the roads so the same applies. I would ne...
