I have a Garmin Virb, its cheap at £70 quid but gives a good picture and is water proof and bash resistant. It has a stream lined shaped which I notice reduces the wind noise a bit.
I do note thou it takes a long time to charge, Battery life is 4 hrs of recording

You guys make me feel soo young, I wouldn't dream of riding without one! I've always been fully protected in any accident ive been in and i know the day im not i'll have an off lol. Wouldnt chance it.

No I think I have read on the forums its a depletive current used by the bmw electronic package/ clock etc also a build up of er sulphate on the plates which if taken to totally dead is very difficult to impossible to recover. Have to say I love the GS, I have a 15 plate but haven't done any long journeys yet...
I do hate the constant flat batteries - I never had this with Jap or Italian bikes... :S

Welcome Cone! Don't clean the BMW, it's looks fine just like that! Too late it's clean.
