Re: end of garmin maps on i offer

I didn,t trust the Russian versions at first but i thought for the price it wasn,t that much to lose if they were no good. I purchased the latest version of city Navigator and everything works perfectly on my Garmin MAP62STC. I even got a little tutorial of how to install and get the unit to use the...

Re: TRF forum still offline

I gave up with the TRF years ago. I still have respect for people who are fighting to keep our green lanes open and in use and applaud them for doing so but there is always squabbling and dissent going on at national level. I used to enjoy the local meets and runs out but some of the runs were overs...

Re: Garmin 680T

I bought a cheap power cable for my Garmin Map62 and it would not come out of mass storage mode as if it was just connected to a computer for data transfer and charging. I never had this problem on my Map60 because it used a dedicated four pin power port and a USB just for data transfer. I went for ...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

When i first looked at the specifications for the Himalayan it didn,t look great on paper but that only tells a fraction of the story. I cannot pass any judgement as i have yet to ride one but the majority of Enfield himalayan owners seem very happy with their purchases. Everyone laughed when i told...

Re: Michelin T63 (rear) alternative?

I had Michelin T63,s on my Harley Davidson MT350 for ten years(mainly because thats what they came with and i got free ones when our MT section got rid of all the spares and tyres!) I really liked them as they were confidence inspiring on the road in both wet and dry conditions and also although i a...

Re: Do-it-all (adv) tyres

Thanks for all the advice. I know tyre selection is a very personal choice and what is right for one may not suit another. It is as contentious as a "what is the best oil?" thread. I sort of wanted to know what i could get away with in terms of having a tyre which did not scare me on the road wet or...

Re: Do-it-all (adv) tyres

Mitas e07plus on rear and mitas xt644 front I was wondering how road biased a tyre i would dare to go. Most people including myself are not honest about the type of riding they will do in reality,i think most of mine is on the road and gravel tracks including gentle sandy norfolk/suffolk trails. I ...

Re: Do-it-all (adv) tyres

I had the Michelin Anakee's on my last 1200GS and must admit that I would highly recommend these to anyone doing "A bit of both" riding. Going on the green lanes they were very good and on the road I would keep up with all my mates on their sports bikes in the corners. Great tyres in my humble opin...
