Re: Southwest Meet 05/03/2011

Ok matey, hope you can make it, would be great to have another rider join us!

I've never been down your way before, only as far as Minehead. I've heard that the roads down there can be spectacular - so here's to good weather and clear roads! (Fingers crossed!)

Re: Southwest Meet 05/03/2011

Will certainly try to keep it SSU.

Bike sparklingly clean, chain lubed and adjusted, FS365'd, wiring sorted out (majorly bodged on foglights). I think I'm ready for a ride tomorrow! B)

Re: Who's top dog in 'adventure' and 'touring'?

I think Kawasaki have some way to go yet, but I believe that BMW definately has it nailed as the top dog for adventure and touring bikes. They have the K1300s & GT, R1200RT, R1200GS/A, F800GS,F650GS etc etc. They literally are the benchmark by which all manufacturers attempt to build a rival machine...

Re: versys

Not sure really, depends. But a Versys frame and swinger will probably be more sufficient for the heavier weight as the bike weighs circa 200kg's. The front end is from the looks of things, pinched from a V-strom, its definately a Suzuki wheel on there. Light off-roading on this thing would be fine,...

Re: versys

The seem adaptable 1003903145_ctoRF-M.jpg 975678522_Hcwt6-M.jpg Thats an ER6n on stilts. The clue is in the swingarm, the Versys uses a gullarm, whilst the er6 uses a much spindlier swinger. @ Mark 1150, the ER6 / ER6f have side mounted shocks also, sharing the same engine as the versys but in slig...

Re: versys

I own a versys 2010 model and have done so for a year now, Its brilliant, go out and get yourself one! Its comfy, great as a tourer and in its 2011 guise its available as a tourer with handguards, screen and pannier kit (Givi V35's rebranded as kawasaki). The engine is perky, picking up torque at ar...
