Re: Brexit finally happens

Well I went to an info meeting yesterday organised by the British Embassy, here in Norway. My conclusion is I am applying for a Norwegian passport, because after 01.01.2021, as a brit you may as well have an Iranian passport if you want to travel and live within the EU. What, even the new blue ones...

Re: Panniers or Topbox? Or May be both?

Not being able to travel light, I have hard panniers on the Explorer, top box, bag strapped to the rack on the top box, an extending tail pack strapped to the pillion seat, (50ltr Oxford bag if camping) tank bag and engine bar panniers. It might not look pretty, but I want for nothing.

Re: Brexit finally happens

I would put my money on the eventual deal, whether it takes 12 months or 12 years, being so closely aligned to what we currently have, it’ll be as if Brexit never happen. No point arguing or falling out now, what will be will be, and everyone lives happily ever after.

Re: A Weekend Trip 2006

Just looked at Google street view, and your 3 photos are definitely taken on the A708 beside St Mary’s Loch. Will try and upload the 3 views from street view if I can manage to download them.

Re: A Weekend Trip 2006

Does look very much like St Mary’s Loch. There was a popular bikers cafe at the southern end called the Glen Cafe.

Re: France recommendations ?

If it’s pure riding pleasure you’re after, anywhere in the east and the south you can’t go wrong. Obviously the Alps and the Pyrenees are a must. The north and the Atlantic coast I find a real bore. yes there are a few nice places to visit in those areas, just riding in between is nothing special. T...
