Re: 2014/15 Tiger XCX 800

Crap for mileage I suppose but it's grip i'm after. At 10,500 miles I fitted a set and at 14,938 miles fitted a new rear. At 17,000 now and probably in another 1000 will need a new set. All riding is two up, so 8-ish out of a front and 4½-ish from the rear. I'm not a throttle jockey, it could be wor...

WP_20190519_10_33_22_Pro_LI.jpg The best suited tyres seem to be the Avon Trailriders for the type of riding you're suggesting Phil. I'm on my second set and are good in the rain on tarmac. Re: 2014/15 Tiger XCX 800

I've got a 2013 800XC.
Great bike though I've swapped the 21" front wheel for the 19" tubeless type.
If you don't do your own servicing be prepared to shell out big style. I do my own and forfeited the warranty to do so. Nothing has gone wrong yet though I've only covered 17,000 miles.

Re: not a proper adventure bike

he told me that my tiger 800 xcx was not an adventure bike That's because there's one too many x's in the name. Now if it was my 800xc that would definitely be an adventure bike. ;) Perhaps my XS1100 would qualify because it's got an X and a S in its name. Or my XJR1200 as that's a 1200.

Re: How To Section Links

Having to wait? How bloody annoying! :o Why don't you save your favourite articles in, now wait for it, "your favourites" on your computer or tablet or whatever it is you use? That's what I do when I want to come back to something on a website or forum. Sometimes you've just got to help yourself. :i...
