Re: Bad manners
I was driving my truck down the A10 from Kings lynn to Ely, there was sporadic on coming traffic , this is why I moved over etc, to give the rider a better view and as a biker I wouldn't dream of indicating to another biker if I thought there was any kind of hazard ahead, in fact if I see one behind...

Bad manners
Three times today while driving my lorry, I've spotted a biker coming up behind me and I pulled over as close as I could to the hard shoulder and gave a short indication left and gave the biker a thumbs up, each time the bikers overtook me, not one even acknowledged me and on one occasion the two ca...

Re: HELP PLEASE!!!!!
Pity I only just read this, the key off a corned beef can, just bend the end over about 1/8 inch and use it just like the key works on most petrol cap locks/padlocks etc, still worth remembering for the future.

Re: FJ1200. Martyn's feeble effort
Nice bike, it's the only bike I've ever had my knee down on and I was the pillion LOL, nice pictures as well, my mate came up with the idea of doing a cake/biscuit type run, like going to Eccles or Bakewell and trying to find other towns with cake/bisuit names.

Re: Bivvy bags
And you could clip poncho's together for a bigger tent, I got mine in 72 as well and as for keeping warm you just can't beat the Army sleeping bag (maggot), don't know about the new ones but the old ones with a waterproof outer bag kept me dry and warm when on 4 day border patrols in Ireland during ...

Re: Is it ever going to warm up!
My son lives there, he was just riding home from work and got caught in it and apparently some thunder and lightning. I was in London today and one minute the sun was burning my leg through the car open window next it was hailing and then snow followed by more sun and it done this all day, what I ca...

Re: New spots
Good idea, I can tell you that we went from Newmarket (Cambridge), to Carnarvon with just one stop and no butt ache or any aches for that matter and I was 61yrs old on that one, so it's fair to say it's a comfy bike and as most of it was motorway she was happy to sit at motorway + speeds and though ...

Re: New spots
I just typed in motorcycle on/off switch on the usual site, they are handlebar mounted. The bike is going great at around 1400 miles, only problem is I knackered the digital speedo, while my mate was attaching the sat nav cable to the battery, I left the key in the ignition and switched on, we heard...
