Re: KTM 640 Adventure Rally Build

Fuel exhausts? UK company, excellent quality and a variety of styles.
Progrip 714 rally grips. (these are the rubber, not foam, ones) Sorry, they are black! But comfortable on my 434 DRZ and have lasted very well.

Re: KTM 640 Adventure genuine luggage

KTM parts finder (so underrated, same fiche diagrams that dealers use) only shows the panniers, and iirc that is all that was available. https://sparepartsfinder.ktm.com/ComponentGroupTemplate/Index/23635?modelidentifier=1000176167&isEngine=False Hope the link works correctly but if not then homepag...

Re: Covid 19 Coronavirus

Just got back from a Prague city break with the girlfriend from Thu 12 - Sun 15 Mar. Seeing the city close down gradually was quite a surreal experience and main tourist attractions being empty until 10am (like 50 people on the entire Charles Bridge). No enforced isolation and public transport still...

Re: Triumph...now all made in Thailand

More production is shifting to Thailand. The fact a vast majority are manufactured there isn't news. Has been since iirc the last of the carb Bonnies (certainly since EFI Bonnies). The situation for a long while (and may still be so) there's an initial time frame where they are solely manufactured i...

Re: Norton in administration

I'm not surprised from a purely motorcycle perspective (not taking into consideration other troubles owners may have had).
They were selling purely low volume, hand made, high price bikes but from the outside looked like they were trying to run the brand as a higher volume manufacturer.

Re: Two-stroke revival?

Now that sounds very interesting!

I'm a fan of VisioRacer on youtube so hopefully this does link to the 2 stroke search with some nice vids of 2 stroke cars and bikes (usually with all sorts of stats and facts too)

Re: Africa Eco Race on TV?

99% sure there won't be any tv coverage. Their youtube has daily updates like the Dakar one does, LP usually gets things out daily as well which obviously covers the team very well. ADVRider has a specific coverage thread for chat and links. People over there seem to have a much bigger interest this...

Re: Exhaust querys

I'd personally be inclined to go for the full Akrapovic knowing actual R&D goes into their systems, unlike many many other aftermarket manufacturers that have a silencer and make headers to fit them. OE are built to pass noise tests and help with emissions, which they are optimised for. Aftermarket ...
