Re: EU. In or out?

Some time ago a Shares Tipster was giving his 'picks' for UK share buys/sells if you wanted to bank on a no-deal Brexit. His advice was buy shares in gambling, booze and fags and sell everything else. or, in three words: 'invest in despair'. On a brief visit to UK last Winter, I went back to one of...

Maps.me works well in Norway, I use it instead of GPS as it's easier to use :-)
I used it all over SE Asia as well. Downloaded the maps on free wifi and away you go!

By no means comprehensive and of course have a glance in case of any signage that will be more up to date than the map

Re: New Triumph Tiger 887 XC

The MCN article (take the details as you will) says suspension now comes from Showa, rather than WP, and it appears to be longer travel, perhaps as much as 250mm at both ends. To counteract the seat height issues, it appears Triumph have slimmed the bike down although it will still be on the taller ...

I tend to alternate between CN and Bennetts, playing one off against the other but never automatic renewal trick!
Exactly what I end up doing. I'm more than happy to take that first year 'introductory price' then put in the minimal effort to change every year :D

Desert Rose Adventure Riding Academy

After a couple of years bouncing around off-road on trails I decided to actually learn to ride off-road. Importantly for me was to be able to do it more safely for myself and others around me. Up until a few years ago I'd not ridden off-road at all and have gradually increased my % of off-road ridin...

Re: Biker with Ear Problem

Custom plugs with filters do the best job of protecting your hearing but take a while to get used to. ... I went with these folk in the end. https://mercurycustomplugs.com/ and I think cost me £75 at a show. I found a Mercury stand at Oulton BSB and had the moulds done there and then. Dropped onto ...

Re: Crystallised Brake Fluid

Despite it saying it should be changed doesn't mean it was. I've seen plenty of places (even places I've worked, I do not condone it especially if it's being paid for) just use those brake fluid test strips that are like a litmus test and skip it if they don't say it requires changing. I'm of the op...

Re: Mid layer...

I usually have a poly sports t-shirt as my base layer, mid layer is an old Tog24 thin fleece, a minimal insulated jacket, and then bike jacket on top.
Got to love being able to layer as required.
