Re: Two-stroke revival?

Now that sounds very interesting!

I'm a fan of VisioRacer on youtube so hopefully this does link to the 2 stroke search with some nice vids of 2 stroke cars and bikes (usually with all sorts of stats and facts too)

Re: Africa Eco Race on TV?

99% sure there won't be any tv coverage. Their youtube has daily updates like the Dakar one does, LP usually gets things out daily as well which obviously covers the team very well. ADVRider has a specific coverage thread for chat and links. People over there seem to have a much bigger interest this...

Re: Exhaust querys

I'd personally be inclined to go for the full Akrapovic knowing actual R&D goes into their systems, unlike many many other aftermarket manufacturers that have a silencer and make headers to fit them. OE are built to pass noise tests and help with emissions, which they are optimised for. Aftermarket ...

Re: Dakar videos 1997 - 2001

love the old Dakar stuff not to take anything away from the modern competitors, like most motorsport it seems to have lost its soul, from my perspective (distant spectator only of the Dakar) thanks for the link. Agreed there is definitely a charm to the older stuff when it was still in Africa! bril...

Dakar videos 1997 - 2001

Found this channel uploading what looks like every Eurosport video of the Dakar rally from 1997 to 2001
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-cpXY ... uery=dakar

With the Dakar just around the corner (yay!) seemed like good timing!

Re: Sealskinz Heated Waterproof Gloves.

Gerbing as well. Not tried any others so won't knock them!
I've got some of the bulkier ones that double as regular 'winter gloves' for me. Once the wires themselves are in place getting plugged in is super quick even with bulky gloves on. Good range of heat settings.

Re: KTM 390 adventure

Cast wheels are a shame, hoping for an R version or at least a spoked 21/18 option.
Spec certainly looks higher than the G310GS (which also has cast wheels). Compared to that the seat height slightly higher, tank slightly bigger, and claimed dry weight slightly lower, amongst other things
