Re: The middle of the road ADV's Africa Twin, Norden, s10
Wind management is a bit of trial and error and a bit of black magic  Unfortunately it can only really be tested by spending money. Or maybe time, skill, and a bit less money with homemade concoctions! Sometimes a huge screen isn't always the answer, or at least the most practical one. It can o...

Weirdly came across the brand a few days ago. Not personal experience but on another forum (link scroll down on the same page for replies). The user really likes them.

Re: Oh no, another tyre thread: KTM 950
I am also having a tyre dilemma. My Suzuki runs a 190/50 17 rear tyre and I've been using Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's on the front and back but have only managed about 2,300 miles before the rear is looking like it's getting towards the end of it's life. I reckon it will need changing in 500 miles, ...

Re: got the balls to buy one anyone?
Thanks for the summary, @Toe. I did watch the whole video and shouldn't have assumed that others would. A summary is just what's needed. Following that: if he's ready to sell a KTM to buy this bike, I think that is enough of an endorsement! No worries! I actually think the video is worth the...

Re: got the balls to buy one anyone?
Watched this recently too. The ultimate TLDW is that he's selling his 2022 500 EXC and buying the Kove. eveRIDE runs rallies in southern Utah and will be using it for this purpose. Notes I made as I watched from the 40min video (not my opinions, literally from the video): The bike being tested was a...

Re: KTM 890 - interested and after some info
Many Triumphs are made in Thailand, Royal Enfields in India, etc etc. When this point comes up I consider the size of the manufacturer, the bigger the manufacturer the more likely it is that they directly oversee those factories (as Triumph do). Of course time will tell on the quality and longevity!...

Re: KTM upgraded parallel twin on way
Apparently, the 270 parallel twin was chosen to emulate the sound and vibration qualities of a harley? Bikers were complaining that the Japanese in-line 4 was Too smooth and quiet, and therefore bland. People like Honda must have experimented with the offset setup and timing for ages, to get the ri...

Re: Pain in the public transport
Only other suggestion I can think of is driving to an underground station north of London then getting the tube the rest of the way.
Doesn't really solve anything apart from having to drive quite so far into London.

Re: Iceland an Scotland lightweight ADV tent
Your not 'hiking' so weight isn't the most important thing, of course you don't want some massive heavy weight but ultra light useally means very expensive and at 6' 2" then spce can be tight. I do lots of wildcamping but hike a lot so weight is a big factor but when I go on my bike then I use...
