Re: advice wanted please

Don't forget the things that are irrelevant of build year. You can still get a puncture. Your chain can still snap. You could still break a cable/ lever/ pedal etc, etc Puncture yes, the rest are just poor maintenance, I've never had a good quality chain in reasonable condition snap, same with cabl...

Re: Aluminium Alloy Repair?

TIG done correctly will pit a lot less heat in. I'd disconnect any ecu, abs and other electronic modules you can find though as the high frequency start can have an effect.

Re: CRF300 rally?? like

Interesting to read & surprised to see the 701 leave the stable, as they are gaining popularity in recent years I saw a video of some T7 and AT riders going around trails in Wensleydale that I ride on a small trail bike It looked hard work and they were making a right mess with that power on gr...

Re: CRF300 rally?? like

Having just bought a CRF300l to replace my 701 and also having a T7 I can tell you from my point of view the CRF is a great trail bike, it's more precise than the 701 which makes it better for UK trails. On rocky climbs the 701 has to be pointed in the right direction and basically fired through, yo...

Re: Bluetooth headsets- again.

We've been using Interphone units for a lot of years, our latest ones are interphone sport and have been fine in all weather for 3 years now, seem to last all day with no problem, my wife has her's connected to her phone too so her battery is always lower than mine and is usually low by the end of a...

Re: Heated waistcoat

I've had a Keis (I think) for a couple of years, used it for the first time last winter and I was surprised at how good it is, I'll be using it again this winter for sure.

Re: The Yamaha Tenere thread

The fuel gauge on my wifes T7 is fairly crap, same as Mark, 60-70miles and one bar down, then showing 1 bar at around 150 miles, fill up and it takes just over half a tank.
Very economical on fuel though, strangely my 701 is still better on fuel on the same ride.

Re: New Honda CRF300 L and CRF300 Rally

It wasn't a direct comparison, its just the three bikes i'm considering next. Strangely, I have a 701, my wife has a T7 and I'd seriously consider the CRF300. I like the 701 but it has it's problems, mainly reliability issues, I'd not very confident it'll do a high mileage and with some of the nois...
