OK,try the by pass for the controller first. But i have been riding South America for the last year and a half same issues and replaced the fuel pump very cheaply myself. Just purchased a £20 Bosch for a Toyota Corrola exactly the same pump and did a quick swap. I did this as thefuelpump was playing...

I have been going through this recently and found LV the cheapest covering over 125cc bikes.

Worth checking them out and friendly when I called and spoke to them.

but it was a short notice thing but had to be put up at some time, I am away next weekend for a trip around Scotland for 10 days, but see who can make it.

There is aways time for more beer later on another day.

A replacement for the BMW fuel pump is the exact same as Bosch part number 0580 454 094 7ZB. Good to know for when out on far of travels and needs are GREAT. If anyone else knows of other items that can be interchanged with mainly car parts would be a huge benefit and save many many pennies to boot. B

I have a Xena (with alarm) for the front wheel, and have been using it for years when out and about. It is solid and loud when set off, but never had any issue with it sounding off by the wind, if it did then the gusts would have had to be extremely strong to knock the wheel about and blow the bike ...
