Re: Is it possible to repair Sidi Adventure Boots? (Stitching in upper)
Yes a resole including shipping both ways was around £100, I paid £320 for the boots 4 years ago. But they are and still are soooo comfy! About the same price/vintage as mine. My suggestion, don't fill them up with water and walk around for days on end :silly: If your really stuck I can try and fin...

Re: Is it possible to repair Sidi Adventure Boots? (Stitching in upper)
Guys - thank you for all of the suggestions, most helpful (thumbs) I will make some enquiries and see how I get on. At this stage I get the feeling posting to and from UK plus repairs may sadly render them uneconomical to repair :( I'll try Sidi per Kito's suggestion and hopefully there may be a sol...

Re: Is it possible to repair Sidi Adventure Boots? (Stitching in upper)
Sorry, can't remember the name of the small outfit, farther and son team I think. After much web searching I located them and they fitted new sidi soles to my adventure boots. Wasn't cheap but doubled the life of the boot. Local cobbler/ repair shop wouldn't touch them. They also repair all the boo...

Re: Seam sealing tents - help?
I use McNett seam grip as Dales has mentioned. They also make another great product called Silnet. SG is expensive. you can mix it with white spirit (its hard to mix, persevers) then brush it on the seams it makes it go many times further. Cheers Mike - that is good to know! (thumbs) Any ideas of t...

Re: Seam sealing tents - help?
Thanks for the advice - I had never heard of Fabsil before. (thumbs) I was thinking of either Nikwax or a product called McNett Seamgrip Seam Sealant that google suggested for me :P Go into a camp shop and see what they have. I tried the camping stores here in Innsbruck, but the products are of Germ...

Seam sealing tents - help?
My old faithful 16 year old Salewa Sierra Leone 2 tent suffered minor water ingress through the seams on our recent trip to Mongolia. Per the photos below, the taped seams have now failed and I presume because due to the tent's primary use and storage in HOT Queensland (until last year). Having neve...

Is it possible to repair Sidi Adventure Boots? (Stitching in upper)
I had a slight blowout in both feet of my Sidi Adventure Boots while in Mongolia (ride report in due course B) ) and wondering whether someone knows if these are repairable or best retained for spare parts for the next pair? Basically, the stitching in the upper has broken away per the picture enclo...

Re: Africa Twin (old model) prices
I don't think that they are so revered on the continent, or perhaps there were more sold here? The prices are certainly more attractive should you want one bad enough for a short hop over to the mainland (thumbs) Austria is normally much more expensive for bikes and cars than UK or Germany. So perha...
