Not sure what it's called but there's a real nice upmarket cafe in Bainton village, on the Malton to Beverley road (great biking road)
Been a few times, they get plenty of bikers.

I bought an Astars goretex 2 piece when i started commuting year round and it's never let a drop in.
Don't commute anymore so it's my touring outfit for early or late season. Let's be honest, the leathers come out about 3 times a year when it's sort of warm.
Still going strong, i carry army goretex ...

We rode a day in the ardennes this year as part of a big trip. The northern part in Belgium. Stopped in bastogne for tea and stayed just outside.
Some great riding but as you say, the majority of it is in France so if you want to maximise the ardennes as you're passing through, I'd come from the ...

Guessing there's a few quid gone into the suspension and brakes there over standard but yes, they do sound ace the old bikes. Rode a trial once and Mick Grant turned up on a 500 Ariel possibly. It made the ground shake!
