Re: Scrambler Desert Sled
As a Scrambler owner, there's nothing wrong with the stock bike, unless you go really off piste. Mine was fine in Morocco, on stock tyres and suspension. I fitted a decent home made bash plate and crash bars just in case. The low ground clearance gave my steel bash plate some work, but other than th...

Re: E.D.C Morocco 2016: On/Off road free guided open invite
Mike has a very valid point that shouldn't be dismissed. I rode Morocco in April on my Ducati Scrambler, sorry, not a GS etc! The route from Merzouga to Zagora is pretty isolated at times, and a hard fall on rocks could easily result in broken bones or worse. A medivac from some of these places is n...

Re: Plymouth-Santander Ferry , Avoid being loaded on the bottom deck?
I used the Port Avon in April on my way to Morocco. Once the guy had wandered off I undid the strap, repositioned it, and re tightened it myself. It was down so tight the first time I was fearful of the sidestand snapping or cracking its mounting on the crankcases! I also use an elastic band on the ...

Re: Calais
I'm not in France then, but I'll ask about and post if there's any news.
Re: Calais
The delays will be around Calais port, the tunnel is unaffected. I work in France and use it every day There may be more traffic, but outbound you should be fine. When are you coming back?

Re: Morocco movie of my recent trip
It doesn't seem to like mobile versions of YouTube, and in some countries it's restricted due to the music I've used.

Re: getting old no idea how to ride a motorbike - could I go on adventure motorcycle trips
Just do it! But don't get sucked into the idea that an adventure bike needs to be half a ton of fully loaded BMW GS etc. An adventure bike is anything you have an adventure on! There's a guy currently in Iran on his Triumph Scrambler, and earlier this year I rode Morocco on my Ducati Scrambler. I'm ...
