FS - Klim Latitude GTX jacket (Large)
Here's my Klim jacket, surplus to requirements. It has served me well these last 4 years, but I only ever use my Overland now. It's got some character but been cared for well, with regular NikWax Tech Wash and TxDirect Wash-In re-proofing. Still 100% Waterproof, and GoreTex has a lifetime guarantee....

Insurance went from £130 to £400!
Wicked quotes (Ramasis) have just emailed me my new insurance quote. Last year I paid £136, this year they want £401! Apparently my insurance was through KTM who don't do this certain scheme anymore. Anyone got a good insurers, before I start searching online? (Heavily modified XT660Z 2013, 60,000 m...

Re: Tyres + Inner Tubes for XT660Z - What do you recommend ???
Mostly road? Get road tyres such as conti trail attack 2. They'll last 12,000 miles.
Inner tubes don't really matter. I used to buy heavy duty ones until I got a puncture in them and realised what a pig they are to patch and inflate.

Jaume V aka Traildreamer is building his own. He's built an XT1200Z, an XT660Z, and now the WR450 rally versions.

Re: Weird feelings on TKC70
You may have a problem developing with the steering head bearings or rear suspension or possibly the swinging arm bearings? The reason I suspect something else on the bike rather that the tyres is firstly the developing wobble and theinstability when heavily loaded but this might all be a red herri...

I don't know why I changed from the K60s, to be honest.dubber68 wrote:...I will be interested how this thread progresses as I was a big fan of K60s before these tyres but suffered uneven front tyre wear causing vibration.

Re: Weird feelings on TKC70
Hmm, nope... Most front tyres are 54T. That doesn't explain it.

Re: Weird feelings on TKC70
I may have just figured out my own question... After checking my tyres, I read the speed AND load rating. The front is a 54T, which is rated for 118mph but only load-rated for 212kg. Which happens to be almost the exact weight of my bike, fuelled without me on it. Add me and my gear, and luggage, an...
