Re: Are you happy with your Bike(s)?

couldn't be more unhappy with the crf250l its just bloody awful I listened to, too many people going on about how great it is and it really isn't. Poor build quality, in fact shit build quality way to heavy underpowered over weight ,shit suspension the list goes on. Now the drz was given a hard time...

Re: CRF250 L thread

I ordered the levers as suggested by Mr Minky and they turned up and look pretty good my main thinking is they were cheaper then buying two original ones as replacements. They fitted in pretty straight forward, i didn't realize they were shorter but that's ok with me. The front brake due to less lev...

Re: Got to go.

Suffolk TRF are a good bunch a chaps although not a huge group. The best thing I did was make myself known and went along with some maps asked lots of questions took a note book and pen and jotted away and my highlighters set to work on where I could ride. They happily helped me out and took me on a...

Re: CRF250 L thread

Thank you Mr Minky Just knew you would have an explanation. I do find it odd that it has no crush washer perhaps one is supposed to be put in after first removal ??? Like Gary I'll just keep an eye on it. So as long as its tightened back up no harm done but will use the correct hole next time ...

Re: CRF250 L thread

No just the oil change for the first service. Just checked the manual and it says drain plug is the 12 mm bolt. the T50 is more like 14 or bigger and the give away is it has no crush washer on it. The reason you, me and others may not have seen the correct bolt is, its on the other side and there is...

Re: CRF250 L thread

just a few notes/observations .. . The oil drain plug (bolt) did not seem to have a copper washer. . The oil drain bolt is unfastened with a large Torx key (you will need one). Gary the oil drain bolt isn't the T50 one its a 12 mm plug that's based funnily enough where the crappy plastic bash plate...

Re: Brilliant Idea.

Looked at shipping costs but it would be for two bikes return from Bulgaria, it did represent a good time saving value as the 250s are dead slow. But if we put that cost into a van then it gives us way more options. Weekends away in Wales, lakes Devon etc . I drive 60,000 miles a year so used to bi...
