Re: Switzerland trip
Switzerland is expensive but if your camping its ok eating out can cost too so we camped for 7 or the 8 days we stayed and cooked our own meals. If you are around Interlaken check out the waterfall inside the mountain its the only one in the world and it really was great to see, cant remember its na...

Re: CRF250 L thread
I've used Hi Flo on my drz from new but had no warranty so wasn't going to pay more than I had too. But as the Honda has two years warranty I'm going to use originals until it runs out probably only be two services 1st and 2nd within that time. Good to know that the seal doesn't need changing each t...

Re: CRF250 L thread
Thanks again for the wisdom/knowledge Unlike yourself Mr Minky in not a big chap but for whatever reason having the bars higher really suits me. I see what you mean by the risers so looks like I'll have to fund a set of adjustable ones. On another subject are you guys sourcing your filters and seals...

Re: CRF250 L thread
Thanks Mr Minky I look at that set up and feel a little envious lol I'll have an experimental play with the cables and see how much I can free up. I'm pretty sure I took the cable ties off to put the risers on but not the brake line from the abs. I'm more concerned about the throttle cables as they ...

Re: CRF250 L thread
Next on the list is Renthal bars I've got a set ready to go. I've already put some risers in but only an inch though on the standard bars. The bike I'm working on is a 2017 . I've seen others with 2 inch risers and high bars but I can't see how the cables are anywhere near long enough so I'm asking ...

Re: CRF250 L thread
That's an fantastic offer mate, I'll gladly accept however I'm tucked away in East Anglia but could have a friend collect where are you based PM me and hopefully I can arrange. Or alternatively I'd happily pay for you to make me a set up similar to the Rally ones as they do look properly smart. Rega...

Re: CRF250 L thread
Thanks Minky the rally set up looks fantastic and the L will be too I sure. Geez that other set is outrageous I saw them while looking about for a set and thought it was odd to say the least. I'd love to be able to make my own set but talent and ability with metal work are sadly lacking. Also I'm ru...

Re: CRF250 L thread
Rear shock has been wound up. I had to take it out as no way on this earth was it going to shift with the "Whack with a big screw driver" method. Well its a bit better but think as minky said its more the rebound. So I reserve judgement for the time being. Has anyone fitted any pannier rac...

Re: CRF250 L thread
Todays first trail ride I think on the road this bike feels pretty nice, yes its soft but playful enough for a small capacity bike. Its compliant on small twisty stuff and sits nice enough on A roads. Early thoughts are I will enjoy this bike Now bear in mind I've come from a drz400e which has pret...
