Bike shops in Carlisle have told me the same thing, they send BMW's down to Shipley for repair. I don't know how common BMW dealers are on your route, but it is something that I'd be looking at very closely.

There are versions of the Aviators that have a small slot in the padding to allow the arms of the glasses to pass through. The Aviators look the part, but I've found the build quality to be quite low, which for the price is shocking.
