2013 ABR Boil Rally Sign up thread.

Damn. I've double booked myself for that weekend and won't be able to make it this year.

Having been to both the previous Boils and thoroughly enjoyed the weekends and especially Jesse's curry, I'm gutted.

Hope you all have a great time.

Instructors, would you recommend it?

Just over 2 years ago I came back from a long trip and went back to my job, a senior position in IT at a major UK bank which paid me very well. I couldn't hack being in the office and away from my bike, so I quit and took an instructor course with a local training school, passed the Cardington CBT a...

Metal motorcycle garage

I've had a Trimetals shed/garage for 5 years and kept various bikes in it. I've never had a problem with condensation, it's sturdy enough and unlike a wooden shed, counts as a proper garage for insurance purposes. Take joy from the small things and life will slowly rebuild itself. Allow the tears to flow and rejoice in the memories of happi...

Helmet age

Quite.

The helmet I wear daily won't last 5 years, the others will last me much longer!

Helmet age

"Why should you replace your helmet every five years? The five-year replacement recommendation is based on a consensus by both helmet manufacturers and the Snell Foundation. Glues, resins and other materials used in helmet production can affect liner materials. Hair oils, body fluids and cosmet...

Understanding the new UK motorcycle laws.

Nice simple guide, Jelly, thanks. Just one minor point, the DAS licence is actually a full category A licence, both the A2 and A1 licences are sub-categories. This is important as category A is motorcycle for international licence purposes. How hiring a bike abroad will work if you only have an A1 o...
