Best bet is to keep it filled with dry pine cones and use them - burn really well. Use the kettle to store the critters as you'll only need a couple to boil a pint. I use the multiple card idea after trying a few options. rough camping quarry in Scotland - where is it !
I remember a small quarry that was ideal for rough camping many years ago, but can't remember where it is ! Its on the side of a b road through one of the highlands areas near a small tarn from memory - any one got an idea ?
