Re: 200,000 km on my GS 12

Hi Paul Great to hear the 1200 is still going strong. I sold the 1100 I had in Bulgaria this time last year - it had a 170K miles on the clock (I owned it for nearly 20 years) it was still going but needed a few jobs doing and we had an Easter trip to Morocco booked so I bought a 1200 TC. I was sad...

Re: 200,000 km on my GS 12

As mine is a single I therefore claim double mileage points! It's currently sitting at 101 000 miles so in twin terms that's 202 000 miles 😜😜😜 Well done on keeping the same bike and keeping it going. good mileage a single only needs half as much spannering though only kidding would love to hear abo...

Interesting info, love seeing high mileage bikes.

Just for the sake of clarification (Not picking an argument) your first post was at 100,000 miles and this is at 200,000 km, so about 24,000 miles inbetween?
arbitrary figures really but ye 25,000mls or so.

Re: 200,000 km on my GS 12

added swingarm bearing change Hellas bought the bike a 2005 model at about 22 months old with 2500 miles on it. I did do a similar summary at 100k miles which listed the initial history of the bike and my history with the date of that post is at the bottom of the one above , perhaps it would be bett...

200,000 km on my GS 12

Just past another benchmark passed 200,000km last week, as an update from my previous post at 100.000 mls thought might interest some. The bike is still used as before but with the addition of quite a bit more trailriding both UK, France and Spain last year had a fair pounding last year . Failures s...

Re: Front wheel removal on side stand

on my 640 I carry a length of aluminium bar which goes both under the swing arm to hold up the rear wheel or wedges using a top hat shaped adapter into one of the holes in the sumpguard to hold up the front, this does work in theory but would be my last resort way of holding it up, these bars or wha...
