Re: ABR Ireland 2024 26 - 28th April 2024
I agree 100% on trying to organise dinners for groups. I spent a lot of time doing that and organising functions, its a headache and thankless. If we have 20 and there is a kitchen maybe we can work something out. I am planning to bring my trailer as my friend is bringing a bike without much kit due...

Re: ABR Ireland 2024 26 - 28th April 2024
That is very useful about the restaurant. Walk distance is 2 to 3 km depending on venue. There are lots of places in Glengariffe. Is it feasible to organise a group dinner? I do recall this was what we had at my last ABR? Since we already have breakfast included would the same space be available? On...

Re: ABR Ireland 2024 26 - 28th April 2024
Sorry to see Moorso cant make it for the weekend. Re: ABR Ireland 2024 26 - 28th April 2024
I have put through payment for Will Crean and myself. I am planning on coming on Thursday and heading to Bantry market on Friday morning as there will be breakfast options there too. From there a short run to Kenmare via Caha Pass for a coffee stop and then back to Glengariffe via Healy Pass for lun...

Re: Resin drives VS centre stands
It depends too on what is under the resin. It is sometimes installed on tarmac and sometimes on concrete.
Centre stands are really a no go on tarmac in warm weather and the tarmac does not like oil either.

Re: Returning rider can it be done?
I have a full bike licence since 1974. Over the years I rode friends bikes as an extension to my car licence. In 2010 I got a BMW K100LT, not a sports bike but still a 1,000cc bike. My insurance cost me all of 240 despite not having had a stand alone bike policy for years. A very clean licence and n...
