Cheers Flintock!
Absolutely, you could spend many weeks in Normandy alone.
It was, at times, quite intense but also profoundly interesting. They've done a great job of preserving the sites.

France for D-Day 75th Anniversary
It's been a while since I have been on here, alas. New job and a young toddler has curtailed the biking (before this trip it was just under a year since I had my leg over the Triumph!). For my 40th, with a few mates, we travelled to Normandy for a week for the 75th D-Day anniversary. Phenomenal was ...

An Adobe Spark Thingy about Leitrim & Sligo
Time on the bike gets harder and harder to come by these days it seems, so when the opportunity does arise, I have to grab it!

Re: Wild Atlantic Way...in a week?
We did this route over 5 days a few years ago, stopping off at places, so although truncated, can't see why a week wouldn't be enough.

Re: Bridgestone T31 tyre advice
I've always ridden the PR4 Trail - the reason being they are supposed to have dual compounds, so a harder wearing central compound (for motorway work) and softer edges. The PR4 Trail is, genuinely, one of the best tyres I've ever ridden on. And its grip in the wet is superior to anything I've ever h...

Re: Bridgestone T31 tyre advice
Hi Mac I was recently away and suffered a slow puncture, so went to the local tyre place and the best tyre he could fit was the Bridgestone Battlax (T31) - his reasoning was that it was the closest he had to the Michelin Pilot Road/Trail. My bike is a [Triumph] Explorer, so not the lightest of bikes...

A Year Since I Had A Weekend Away on a Bike!
And managed to squeeze in what looks like the last weekend of the summer (or this part of it, fingers crossed!).
Headed south through the midlands to Belvedere - doesn't a year go by in the blink of an eye!

Afternoon Chaps
I will try to get down for a day to meet up, but will be unable to have a weekend with you all - work commitments in the new job that I can't refuse!

Re: GoPro settings
I use 1060 and wide.
The file sizes are still large, but not enough to crash anything....but the quality remains really good HD. I've messed with the field of view and in my opinion anything other than wide looks like tunnel vision.
