Daytona - time to move with the times, bonding has been proved to be stronger and lighter than welding and spreads stress loads better. Its not the 19th century any more. I assume from your comment that you experience is vastly greater than mine so I bow to your superior knowledge. Ok, that was eas...
Re: New CCM
Seriously? Your point is, as always, erroneous and your ability to detect and judge sarcasm is poor. I have a degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering if you must know. Oh, and its "My point exactly, 'Your reverence, Dr Scutty, Lord of Sealand' " - I didn't spend £8.50 in the intern...
Re: New CCM
I am happy for you to refer to me as 'Your reverence, Dr Scutty, Lord of Sealand' - I think that about covers it although I'd like to get 'Star-lord' in there somewhere Lets get back on track. I was looking at the CCM originally when I chopped in my SMT but the bike wasn't ready at the time so I bou...
Re: New CCM
Yep, 2 degrees, a doctorate, a Lordship and I'm an ordained priest, all courtesy of the internet - what a wonderful world we live in

Re: New CCM
OH - its on the internet!! Ah, must be gospel truth then!!
I really should get back to work, if this wasn't such fun.
Now, to drag us back on track...... how about we discuss the bike again?
And I have been back through this thread and there is no mention of it not being a bonded alloy frame.

And I have no idea what those are but then, I'm not an 'engineer' (well I am but not that type)

Knock yourself out:

10 million cars in USA use structural adhesive - this is not even my industry but I do read. But you're probably right, after all, you're in 'engineering'

Re: New CCM
I just did!! If you are on a slower bike that is less capable on rough ground and has the fuel range of 100 miles less, you are going to slow me down. And yes, all those bikes can be upgraded but we're not talking about upgraded, we are talking about off the show room floor. Plus, just to point out,...
