Re: Back to a road bike maybe..

See the problem is Richard I like to go to Europe and I don't want to do that at 55mph on a 250, the 800 will cruise 80+ no problem and unfortunately I'm not in the position to run 2 bikes. I was hoping nobody would ask that question just yet - I've got to deal with some family stuff in Wales and I will have to be there for several weeks at some point. We don't quite know exactly when that'll be, but there will be plenty of time to give people notice and to sort out alternatives.

Re: NORFOLKING AROUND RALLY 11th - 13th May 2012 sign here.

Cheers all - nothing sinister's up, I've just been a bit busy with work and family. It's a bit ironic that the last time I checked on this thread was about 12 hours before I was reported missing  GB, sorry I didn't reply to you last night as I was driving, but have a greenie on me for being a...

Re: Bike Show

Could have done with some DD forms... that way it encourages people to sign up and keeps costs down as well... which was the lecture Jules gave them while signing up for our dual membership... :D We tried to sort DD forms but the paperwork didn't come through in time for the show, although it wasn'...

Aha - you could be right, I thought that both the 750 and 1000 engines had the cam problem but now you come to mention it, I think it was just the 750s.

Re: my vf1000

Soft cams was a prob with them, just keep changing the oil loads. I thought that a special tool was needed when setting the camshaft which, if it wasn't used, meant that the shaft didn't run straight and that's why they broke. This bike is the reason that Honda created the VFR and spent so many year...
