Re: Clutch help

Greetings, I have just used the old 1p  trick on the Pampera. Take care not to over tighten the clutch clamping bolts, they are prone to snap in the clutch basket fingers. When securing them tighten a little and often alternating diagonal pattern. It is possible to buy a pattern product of the...

Re: Clutch help

In my experience a significant amount of clutch issues are caused by the cable. Anything apart from a fresh OEM cable will not work properly, the usual problem of not being able to select neutral easily as the clutch is not releasing correctly. And/or less than smooth operation. Not sure if this is...

Re: Clutch help

A familiar view to me having more than a few air cooled Hondas over the years. I've always used a 2 pence piece between the primary and clutch gear... does anyone carry loose change anymore? The filter is a centrifugal one often filled with compacted sludge. What oil are you using? 2p makes sense. ...

Re: Clutch help

Thanks guys, Really wish I'd asked before opening her up yesterday. While I'm here, in order to get to the basket you have to take the oil filter out and it's geared to the clutch and spins when you try and undo it. Yesterday I used a bit of wood to wedge it but it didn't work well, is there a good ...
