+1 for Halford's digital one. Not a huge expierience with it, but so far cheap, small, light and easy to use. It lives in the tool bag and still working... it has never been hammered too much or been wet, though.

Tramp is right, I have one an use it to commute to work everyday. One bike for everything? Congratulations! Your post made me remember one of my first rides off road on my own, with road tyres and with a road bike that was not even powerful ( Varadero 125). It was bloody hard, but I think it is still the one I am most proud of. They make you realize what you are capable of, don't they? On...
