Re: covid dystopia

Glad to hear all is ok with you Gary. Yes you are right how everyone is behaving while out, even down here in Southern England! People are pleasant and courteous when you go out for a walk/exercise, keeping their distance, saying thank you, and hello. Ironic as these will be the same people ...

Re: Work Case #16 CRF450R

By way of comparison, my lad's 701 Husky had over 820 hours on it, before it was nicked recently. The dealer had the lid off at 700 hours, all good. (changed a cam chain as a precaution, given we were already in there). Clean oil and filters boys - the air filter is even more important than the oil...

Re: Work Case #16 CRF450R

I don't think the people that bought these bikes were the typical trail riders that we might recognise, more like MX riders who wanted something to just hoon around on for 1/2 hr and then leave it in the shed for the next six months.... Can't recall the service intervals for the Hondas, hardly any M...

Yes and a reminder that most of us may as well SORN our bikes now as I doubt we will be on them in April.... Unless yours is essential transport of course.

Work Case #16 CRF450R

Previous #15 Montesa Honda Trials Bike Work Case #16 CRF450R ----------------------------------- Now you can’t really see from the photo but this is a “road legal” CRF450 MX bike with number-plate, lights, horn and a speedometer! So, why would you do this? Well its a good question but a modern 450 ...

Re: Are 'friends' electric?

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned electric [assisted!] bikes as I have been greatly enjoying mine during my "exercise" quota.

Playing it safe and sticking to the roads - the reduced amount of traffic makes a huge difference.

Have you ever considered not using the internet in the early hours of the morning??
But if you insist, maybe find a forum that is actually interested in the shite you're churning out <snip>
Bit harsh, how about you start some relevant threads yourself? ;)

Re: Perfect tyres?

Yeah not bad for a "fiddy - fiddy" tyre :)

But wet sand is not mud, its quite grippy usually!

Re: Work Case #15 - Montesa Honda Trials Bike

Interesting stuff, good to see some trials bikes.

A few years back I had the predecessor to yours Johnnyboxer, a TY250 "pinkie". Brilliant bike with a slow revving old-school air cooled motor with modern linkage suspension.

This one had been "un-pinked".
