If the speedo drive is off the front, then will change by 21 seventeenths. And if off rear, by 18 seventeenths. That's it simply, but tyre aspect will alter the ratio. i need to do this to the footpegs on my 1290 r, need to lower them by 20-25mm where did you buy the lowering brackets, cheers I got them from a guy called Martyred on advrider. I fitted footrest lowering brackets. Certainly helps when stood up (and more comfortable on long runs)

Other option is to use Renthal bars - various lifts, widths, bends etc available.
