Re: Beggars belief

So, I don't get out much these days. Well, not for a pub crawl anyway but was out Friday night in Worcester a works Christmas meal and drinks after. Couldn't get over the amount of beggars lining the streets. Must have passed at least 10 in half mile walk. Are these people genuine? Really homeless?...

Re: EU. In or out?

Also remember, both sides misinformed, not just the Leave camp. We were told a political 'viewpoint' and not a lie. Let's be clear - both sides LIED unashamedly. Many statements were made as fact, not viewpoints. Including: "The Government will implement what you decide" That was the offi...

Re: EU. In or out?

It seems that the Austrian voters didn't fancy having a right wing President and though it's essentially a ceremonial role they're still making a pretty loud statement that they don't want their country going too far to the right. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-38202669 46.7 % of the people...

Re: EU. In or out?

Three recent votes. First won by a lying buffoon. UK. Second by a reality star who's head seems full of hate. USA. Third by a professional clown. Italy. Not sure what to make of it, to be honest. But I don't think democracy is the winner. What I don't understand as a lay persosn is how a politician...

Re: Is it just me, or are ALL newly registered bikes coming with ugly garish reflectors on the forks??

It's part of the Euro 4 regulations - I doubt it'll affect the MOT test. (thumbs) EU is considering also putting reflective obligatory stickers on our arses as well. The EU propose parts of the MOT to be part of a regular service, therefore forcing you to service your vehicle at regular intervals -...

Re: 650,000 immigrants enter UK - a new record

This thread raises the issue of 55,000 Romainians. Of course the EU and free movement of people is what makes this possible, and lets them through passport control, but if that was the root cause. every rich EU country would have the same problem to the same extent. It's the UK that attracts people...

Re: EU. In or out?

I think it says a lot about UKIP that they didn't put forward a candidate. I could understand them not fielding anyone in the by election to replace Jo Cox because nobody opposed Labour in that one but this was the first by election since the referendum where they could and should have stood. You c...
