Re: very sad news another company bites the dust
I was talking with a fellow biker at lunch, we both thought that 250+ MZ would make the PERFECT Global Adventure bike, built with long travel suspension and decent brakes it would be a world beater. The sad reality is though that most Adventure bikes go as far as Sainsburys but look as if they who t...

I know some of those lanes, I would be up for that I just need to sort a suitable bike Andrew Hi Jenks, I'm in Sussex ( Horsham ), I use a 300exc on the lanes, but i am going to put a day together for bigger bikes, Coldharbour - Wotton, leading down to Hindhead, that sort of route, :) and do it on t...

Re: very sad news another company bites the dust
That is sad, my first bike was an MZ 250 supa 5, cira 1980. Brilliant bike, very clever simple engineering. Mine would cruise all day at 70mph, and still do 50 mpg

Re: I am NEW here ....Be Gental
You aren't the first to take the piss I a-sure you, but at the tender age of 17 the advice I was given by my elder's was learn to ride on road first,(we had farm bikes from the age of about 10) then get something bigger / faster when you have some experience. Most of my mates bought RD250's or X7's ...

Sunny Brum... is that an oxymoron????? As for my DRZ E I am right with you there, great bike, it replaced a KTM 300EXC which was an awesome bike, but for green laneing it was too committed for me, frightened the hell out of me to be honest, the DRZ was perfect. bought it new in 2002 sold 2009 when t...

Re: New bike thoughts.
A pleasure, I too had a Tiger 1050 and never really liked it, it was certainly not as good a bike as the 1150GS I had before. It was well build, better than a GS12 but not in the same league as the EXP12 I also like both the GS800 and the Tigger 800 both very under rated bikes. But what defines a go...

Re: New bike thoughts.
Yoda, I went through this process earlier in the year, Personally I didn't enjoy the Honda as I found it soulless and under powered, the Yamaha well it's a Yamaha and didn't even test ride it, the BMW GSA was good very good but it ended up nearly £16K with all the extras, and it has some well docume...

Hi All I have just found the site and thought I should say Hello. A bit about me, I have been riding for 30 odd years, a variety of bikes from old British to Ducati's, Harley's DRZ's GS's and currently Triumph Explorer and a T140 Silver Jubilee. I have done a few mainly European trip's over the year...
