Re: TKC 80

Looks like somewhere in the middle of road tyre pressures and trail bike tyre pressures should be the starting point then. Slightly higher than I'd originally thought.
Thanks for the quick replies.

TKC 80

I'm just about to fit some TKC 80's to my 660 Tenere.

As I will be using the bike on trails as well as the road I'd like some guidance on what pressures to use for these tyres.
Don't want to change pressure at each trail so a good compromise would be appreciated.

Re: putting a bike to rest

There are two schools of though about fuel. 1 ensure the tank is full then now room for the water to collect 2 empty the tank then there is nothing inside to attract the water but in this case ensure the bike is kept in a dry place. Ensure the bike is put away dry, don't wash it before putting away....

Re: Acceptable starting offer to a dealer..........

Only just seen this but for anybody looking to buy from a dealer, they will probably be looking to make a minimum of £500 on a £2500 bike, probably £750 or more on a bike nearer £5000. They have to pay VAT on the profit so they will be looking for £600 or £900 above what they paid, to give negotiati...

Re: Solar panels - advice please

I had a 4KW system fitted in July 2012, just before the tariff changed, house faces SE so not the best. The illustration I was given said I should generate 8.82 KWhours per day but the last anniversary I had averaged 9.14 KW hours per day, currently at 8.66 but expect this to be at or above target b...

Re: An insurance cancellation fee question......

It was originally just the Brokers who charged the fee so with the car insurance I always used to go direct (Zurich) but now even the insurers make a charge although smaller than the broker. The problem I've found with bikes is that the initial premium is normally significantly cheaper than going di...

Re: Trailer woes.

If the vibration problem has only just started then something must have changed. Towing at 70+mph is illegal but that does not mean it can't be done safely. I have towed a caravan in France legally at 80mph without a problem but have had issues towing in the UK at 50mph when not properly loaded. No ...

Re: A salutary tale of insurance woes!

If you have the details of the person who is to blame and they are fully insured, tell Bennetts you want the bike put back into the condition is was in before the accident. You could threaten to take then to the small claims court. Were there any personal injuries if so the solicitor making the clai...
