1980 Z1300 it was an american import and a great bike until it hit a stone wall and that was the end of it and almost the end of me too.

puppy, i have never used the in-thank sealer, but i have heard lads talk of it in the past and they said that it was a pretty good product,but i can't say for sure as i never used it. if it is only a small hole why not try some type of epoxy weld maybe.

stuart, i would say that your charging system is ok. if you are not using your bike everyday even a new battery will start to lose its charge. the loss of only a few volts from the battery is enough to stop it from turning the engine over.it does not mean that the battery is gone bad. if your bike i...

thanks tony23, i will give it one more shot to find the problem, i have it taken apart anyway. i will give an update if i find the problem, as it might save someone else alot of grief.

thanks tony, in the shop they removed the alternator and had it checked, they also installed new R/R just to add to the cost, but no change.

thanks tony23, yes i did remove the fuse box and check it, it was fine, i also ran a direct feed from the battery to the rev-counter and it had no change, i also ran an earth wire from the earth on the rev-counter to the bike frame and engine and with no change. i also checked all the wires for grou...
