sounds great, i always wanted to do Canada,i traveled across America back in 1989 on a 1979 GL1000 had a good time, for the most part anyway. Have a safe trip.

thank for the reply lads, but this went on non stop for about two hours only way to stop it was open the cap. even when the bike was parked up it as still whistling. Now have owned a makes of bikes over the past 25 years, but never seen a vacuum whistle this bad.

i tought when the rev-counter was keeping tine with that it might still be a problem with the alternator A/C current so i unpluged it and jumped the bike from the van battery using the vans alternator as a charge system, but the same thing happened. So it is definitely not the alternator or the R/R....
