Re: Hello from the Midlands!

Sounds good Craig, I'll keep an eye out for the badgering attack and join in! Hi Stuart, I got a phone call from ORS just last week to say that the bike event is cancelled now and that they would process a refund, lack of interest apparently. Shame, I was really looking forward to it. Might be worth...

Re: R1200GS Clutch Issues, looking for a prod in the right direction!

Just a quick update to wrap this thread up, thankfully it turned out it was the slave cylinder - fitted it up, built pressure on the line almost immediately then just bled the system and I was away. Seems they are a relatively common failure on the 1200GS's from what other people have said, all sort...

Re: Hood or Draggin'

I've got a pair of draggin jeans I've been around europe in twice and ive always been happy with the comfort but they do seem to come up a bit short in the crotch which might explain why they wear quicker there and the colour in my pair (black) faded really quickly after a shower or two out riding, ...

Re: R1200GS Clutch Issues, looking for a prod in the right direction!

Thanks for your responses, I think the original suspicions of the slave cyl were right. Having whipped it off it seems gunked up and looks as though the clutch fluid is pushing past the cylinder seals as you say knobblywobbly. Cheers for the link craig, looks like more of a job on the 1150! Its a do...

Re: Moto Mart Kidderminster

Bike looks cracking, love that colour scheme on all of the GS range! I bought (and subsequently sold back two years later at a fair price) a lovely bike from steve a few years ago and have used them for servicing/MOT's since and your right, they are a really approachable bunch - no pressure sales te...

R1200GS Clutch Issues, looking for a prod in the right direction!

Hi All, Having missed out on last sunday's cotswolds ride out due to a mysterious clutch failure I have since set about sussing out what's up with it and have come to some sort of a conclusion, just wondered if any other tinkerers on here might be able to offer a nod or shake to confirm/dispell my f...

Re: Green Lane ride out from Stratford Sunday 27th May

Had intended to but having checked the bike over on saturday I seem to have some sort of failure on my clutch actuation since the thursday before when i rode it last! (?) Re: West Midlands South of Brum "Have a look at some Green lanes " afternoon
